Be Inspired

“We believe that God’s creation is a gift that we have a duty to care for and that the wellbeing of all creation matters to God. We must repent for the damage we have done to the earth.”

What is the Theology?

As Christians, do we hear the voice of God in this crisis?  Throughout the Old Testament, God had to warn his people, of the devastating consequences of carrying on with selfish exploitative lifestyles.  But he always gave hope, and the promise of a better outcome when the people turned back to Him and lived according to his love.

What shall we do?

God is calling us to dramatic lifestyle change as individuals and as communities.  He is asking us to speak and act creatively and boldly where people, nations and corporations are continuing to exploit the earth and its people.  He asking us to pray, and seek his heart. We need our knowledge, our passion and our actions to line up – to step out in obedience to God and discover the hope which he has promised us.

Consider the ravens: they do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them… ‘Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labour or spin... But seek his kingdom.

From Luke 12:24-31

Lifestyle

How can we live more responsibly? In this A-Z, Ruth Valerio highlights the main threats to people and our planet, God’s beloved creation. She shows us how, by making small but significant changes to our lifestyle, we can learn the secret of a life that is both fair and simple.

For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
